Meet Brandy!

Hello and welcome! I’m Brandy, a retired hairstylist and braider turned serial entrepreneur.

My journey in the beauty industry began in 2019 with the launch of Breaking Boundaries Beauty, a therapeutic hair therapy collection designed to nurture and restore hair health. After pursuing my passion at beauty school, I spent the next five years honing my skills before founding Brandy’s Braiding Bar, Chicago’s first 24-hour hair salon. In addition, I own and operate My VIP Salon Suites in Oak Park, providing luxury salon spaces for beauty professionals.

Today, I am proud to serve as a beauty business coach and mentor, guiding the next generation of beauty entrepreneurs to success.

Growing up in Chicago, I was surrounded by strong, hardworking women who taught me the power of confidence. I quickly learned that a great hairstyle or flawless makeup look could do more than just enhance your appearance — it could change your whole vibe, boost your mood, and inspire confidence. The Owner of Chicago’s very 1st 24 hour Hair salon. A retired beautician, and business coach based in the vibrant city of Chicago. As I gained experience, I realized there was a need for mentorship in the beauty industry, especially for young women of color. Breaking into business, building your clientele, and eventually owning a salon requires more than talent — it takes strategic thinking, business skills, and the right guidance.
